Low-pressure misting fans are the simplest option: they make the most of the fan's airflow with a light misting effect, which works best in open, breezy areas and dry heat. Mid-pressure (200 to 250 PSI) and high-pressure (1500 PSI) systems use a pump to create finer mist that evaporates faster for more cooling with less moisture. Browse our Misting Systems collection to compare.
Will it get things wet?
Low-pressure mist has larger droplets than pump-driven systems, so surfaces close to the fan can get damp. Mount the fan high, aim it into open air rather than directly at seating, and use it in well-ventilated areas.
How far apart should the fans be?
Mist Cooling recommends spacing misting fans about 20 to 25 feet apart.
How is the fan mounted?
It's a wall-mount fan and comes with mounting hardware. The bracket can also be mounted to a ceiling with the fan tilted slightly downward, and the tilt head adjusts to aim the airflow.
What power does it need?
The fan plugs into a standard 110V outlet (it is not battery powered). Use room-temperature or cold water only for misting.
What is the warranty?
Mist Cooling provides a 1-year warranty against defects on its fans. Stainless steel misting rings carry a lifetime warranty.
