What engines is this kit for?
Single outboard engines up to 300 HP without power-assisted steering, on high-performance boats capable of speeds over 60 MPH.
Can I use it on a twin-engine boat or with power assist?
No. The Pro kit is designed for single, non-power-assisted outboards. For twins, higher horsepower or power assist, ask our team about SeaStar power assist and multi-engine setups.
Will it work with my jack plate?
Yes. SeaStar designed the Pro kit to work with jack plates and high-performance propellers.
What size dash hole do I need?
The helm fits a standard 3" dash cutout and uses a standard 3/4" tapered steering shaft.
How is this different from the standard SeaStar kit?
The Pro kit is built for high-performance boats running over 60 MPH. The standard SeaStar kit (HK6400-4) is designed for boats up to 60 MPH.
